For anyone who’s not seen it already, Reka Solymosi and Andy Newton have a recent paper with Kerry Cella (a Transport for London crime analyst) on a similar scheme in London, which is available at https://doi.org/10.1057/s41284-017-0117-y

Anthony Jones, a police officer and student at Cambridge, did a dissertation with Tim Coupe looking at some of the downstream consequences of this campaign on sexual assault investigations: http://www.crim.cam.ac.uk/alumni/theses/Anthony%20Jones%20-%20MSt%20Criminology%20and%20Police%20Management%20-%20Thesis%20Final.pdf

There is also a paper looking at whether a video raising awareness of sexual assault on public transport led to changes in whether people might blame victims, although I haven’t read the full paper: https://doi.org/10.1057/s41300-017-0026-3

Dear TCR-Network
Yesterday I meet Erik von Essin who is responsible the situational crime prevention at County level here in Stockholm. We talked about violent crime associated with night life and he mentioned about NYPD campaign in New York. See the photo in this email.
The question about making explicit campaign is not always well received by the population – as we have discussed in previous email, when Hugo shared photos from Paris and Brussels. In Sao Paulo, the campaign generated a discussion on whether the company was dropping the responsibility to passengers to report and deal with the problem.
