Right -- so you can see exactly which versions of each of the source 
files were used for compilation. I have not used it and AFAIK no-one 
ever has. I would also be hard-pressed to think of a situation in 
which one would really need it -- usually you do the opposite: compile
from a set of known source files and reproduce the problem/error...

So, for me they could go.
