Perhaps it would be a good idea to separate 'kernel' cvs write acces,
and 'tools' acces? I'd imagine more people would be interested in getting
more useful feature into, and more bug out of, the tools, and this would
prevent them from accidentally breaking things in 'kernel' or 'mdlib'.
