I generally use the auto-indentation of emacs.
It is very important that we avoid what computer scientist call
"space-wars", i.e. how the indentation should be. If you have a new
piece of code you can do as you like, but otherwise it's not a good idea
to reformat stuff if you aren't modifying it anyway.
