Hi,

whatever happened to this option? Has it it been replaced by something
else? If not how do I force 64 bit mode on an Apple/Intel computer? I've
tried using --target=x86_64-apple-darwin9 --build=x86_64-apple-darwin9
to no avail.

OK, to answer my own question, it seems that adding
CFLAGS+="-m64"
does the trick. It was convenient to have the option however.

Maybe this is useful for someone else...

Cheers,
