[gmx-developers] Gromacs on Cray: attempted static link of dynamic object

Dear Developers -

We are trying to compile Gromacs 455 on Cray and at the end of "make"
get the following error.

/usr/bin/ld: attempted static link of dynamic object
`./.libs/libgmxpreprocess_mpi.so'

The compiler is the gcc, the MPI is MPICH2. The configure is
"--enable-mpi --enable-shared --prefix=XXXXXXXXXXXX"

Any ideas where can the problem come from?
