[gmx-developers] Profiling gromacs

Hi,

Profile isn't a valid build type. I think the only cmake timing function we
have is GMX_CYCLE_SUBCOUNTERS. What type of profiling do you want to do?
MPI or single node? Do you need performance information per function or do
you want it per code line? Do you just need timing or also other data (e.g.
cache misses)? I like hpctoolkit (OpenSource) and Vtune (Intel).
