After (almost) completing cvs checkout, or several other cvs commands, the 
cvs command hangs.
Everything has been done though. xpm2ps.c is the last file, so you have 
checked out the whole
cvs tree.
I have reported this problem to Erik Lindahl three months ago, but it has 
not been fixed yet.
