We had some problems with dual Athlon cluster when run in parallel.
 If run within one node - everything was Ok. A some of the nodes (but 
more often two of them)
 while runnning in parallel hanged up and didn't responded to any key. 
The temperature was alwyas
 below 60C. We changed consistently processors(1500 MP), lan cards(Intel 
),  MB (Tyan Tiger MP760),
memory(kingston ecc 256 DDR) and power supplies - nothing helped. Only 
when we chenged *all*
to a new hardware it starts to work properly. Thus, we haven't any 
problems with Athlons but with other hardware undefined problems were.

P.S. I also mentioned processor mismatch at booting but the processors 
were not hot.
