Hi Markus,

I would just compile everything (LAM,FFTW,Gromacs) from source. You can 
use the lam version currently on your cluster, or download the latest 
lam-6.5.9 from www.lam-mpi.org.

(we'll fix that link, but 6.5.9 is newer anyway...)
