Hi,
I'm seeing a seg fault randomly while using mdrun with the -pi pulling
option of gromacs-3.1.4 Don't want to use the CVS due to code changes
within the group and from Erik Lindahl. Error appears to be coming from
rdgroup.c and/or smalloc.c (In the two cases I tracked down lines 88 and
113 respectively) I believe it happens while initializing the index. debug
log file stops after outputting the 47 pull parameters. It doesn't always
happen, but its kind of like witchcraft getting past that initialization
point sometimes, and I soon will need it to be more dependable.
Would like to know if you have changed (in the to-be-released gromacs
version or the CVS version) the rdgroup functions due to errors in memory
allocation or the way the pullcode calls them, or if this sounds new to you.
I don't want to spend a significant amount of time to fix it if it has
already been done and I don't need to. Please let me know if this sounds
familiar.
thanks,
Nick
