Just to insure that everyone no the list is certain that I talk to
myself, I reply to myself yet again.

This issue is cleared up in Erik's 3.1.5_pre1 version in
ftp://ftp.gromacs.org/pub/beta as suggested in
http://www.gromacs.org/pipermail/gmx-users/2002-September/029139.html

Seems like a good thing for the FAQ, along with the FFTW 3.0.1 not
working yet. I just say that cuz I stumbled over that too. ;-)
