[gmx-users] potential across surface

hi david,
I tried to use two different index files,
one for atoms and another for molecules,
because documentation doesn't specify
which one I should use. the command line
was the same in both cases:
g_potential -f water.xtc -s water.tpr -n index.ndx -sl 500
g_potential asks "how many groups?" and
I answered "1" since my systems has water
molecules, nothing else.
results are different depending on the index
file I choose but I still get an ever increasing
potential across my simulation box. see potential
files attached: potential1.xvg (atoms in index
file) and potential2.xvg (molecules in index file)
I also calculated the potential in another system
with one organic monolayer on each side of the
water film and got similar (strange) results.
