you mean when the box-length changes? I don't think so.
Further I'm not sure if it is desirable: look at the following example

If the cut-off is shifted by an infitesimal amount the water in the
center can suddenly see the other image of the water on the edge. This
may lead to noise (not sure though...). I'd want the cut-off to be at
most half the box minus the charge group size (for water 2 Å).

Testing might be useful though...
