[gmx-users] fftw & enable-float

Hello, choon peng and David:

Thanks for the advices on Mac root and
fftw-installation. 

I try to install 'fftw-2.1.5' in my home directory
instead of resetting the root. This time, I am able to
install the program with the command of './configure
--prefix=/Users/bo/fftw/fftw-2.1.5' followed by 'make'
and 'make install'. After that, the 'include' and
'lib' files are created under
/Users/bo/fftw/fftw-2.1.5'. But I couldn't do the same
with the command of './configure -enable-float'. Every
time, I got the error message saying that:

/usr/bin/install -c .libs/libfftw.lai
/usr/local/lib/libfftw.la
install: /usr/local/lib/libfftw.la: Permission denied
make[2]: *** [install-libLTLIBRARIES] Error 71
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
----

Then I use the command of './configure
-enable-float=Users/bo/fftw/fftw-2.1.5', the result is
the same. (I did 'make distclean' before I
re-install).  Does this mean that I can't do the
'---enable-float' under my home directory. Has it to
be done under the 'root'?
