Dear all

When I use the following command:

g_analyze -f free_bi_0.9.xvg -av average_0.9

I got

set average standard deviation *std. dev. /
sqrt(n-1) *…

SS1 6.053822e+01 3.062230e+01 1.936724e-02 …

What is “*std. dev. / sqrt(n-1)” *?

I know that

Standard deviation (SD) for samples is quall to sqrt[{sum((x-xmean)*2)/n-1}]

Standard error* *(SE) = Standard deviation/sqrt( n)

n is number of samples.

But I don’t know what is the concept of the “*std. dev. / sqrt(n-1)”*? is
it SE?

Sincerely

Afsaneh
