Hi,

The most appropriate solution is to update your compiler, as the message
suggests. ubuntu permits you to add up-to-date compilers to old
distributions via PPAs. If you're running with GPUs, you are surely wanting
your simulations to use the full capabilities of the hardware, and that
can't be done with an old compiler.
