[gmx-users] Unknown CMake command "tmpi_get_source_list"

Dear users,

I have a problem in the installation of gromacs-2016.3. Following the
installation instructions
I created a build directory, changed to it and ran the command cmake
(version  2.8.12.2)

cmake ../src  -DGMX_BUILD_OWN_FFTW=ON -DREGRESSIONTEST_DOWNLOAD=ON

after a few lines that look correct I get the error message:

CMake Error at gromacs/CMakeLists.txt:121 (tmpi_get_source_list):
  Unknown CMake command "tmpi_get_source_list".
----------------

I found on the web an old message about this problem, but I could not find
any reply to that.  Is there anyone who had the same problem and knows how
to solve it?
