[gmx-developers] difficluties in compiling gromacs

Following your instruction, I started over installation as the following:
cd ~/fftw-3.2.2
./configure --enable-float --enable-sse --enable-shared
make
make install 
cd ~gromacs-4.0.7
./configure --with-fft=fftw3 --without-x --enable-shared
error message:
checking size of void*... configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (void*)
See attached `config.log' for more details
