Actually I was just reading the flamewars on slashdot about the
performance of macs vs. Xeons. If you want to run gromacs on it check:

the macs aren't that great for the money. Of course if you like the OS
it may still be worthwhile, but not purely for the performance, (and
they won't ship until August IIRC)

Does anyone out there have some Opteron benchmarks?
