I am trying to install gromacs 3.1.4 on an emac running macosX 10.2.
I had to ./configure with the --disable-ppc-altivec option because it
ran into some errors right away.
even with the altivec loops disabled, i ran into the following errors
eventually while ./make
cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../src -I/usr/X11R6/include
-I../../include
-DGMXLIBDIR=\"/Users/senthilk/local/gromacs314/share/top\"
-I/Users/senthilk/local/fftw213/include -O6 -fomit-frame-pointer
-finline-functions -Wall -Wno-unused -no-cpp-precomp -mcpu=powerpc -c
`test -f xutils.c || echo './'`xutils.c
xutils.c:97: `fmax' redeclared as different kind of symbol
/usr/include/architecture/ppc/math.h:307: previous declaration of `fmax'
xutils.c:97: warning: `fmax' was declared `extern' and later `static'
make[3]: *** [xutils.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
Does anybody know why this happens and how to fix it?
Thanks.
Senthil
