I am trying to install gromacs-3.1.4 on a new mac g5 with os
10.2.7. FFTW-2.1.5 was successfully installed, and configuration
of gromacs went well. However, I received the following error
during compiliation:

source='xutils.c' object='xutils.o' libtool=no \
depfile='.deps/xutils.Po' tmpdepfile='.deps/xutils.TPo' \
depmode=gcc /bin/sh ../../config/depcomp \
cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../src  -I../../include -
DGMXLIBDIR=\"/usr/local/gromacs/share/top\"   -O6 -fomit-frame-
pointer -finline-functions -Wall -Wno-unused -no-cpp-precomp -
faltivec -mcpu=powerpc -c `test -f xutils.c || echo './'`xutils.c
xutils.c:97: `fmax' redeclared as different kind of symbol
/usr/include/architecture/ppc/math.h:307: previous declaration of
xutils.c:97: warning: `fmax' was declared `extern' and later
make[3]: *** [xutils.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

Did anyone encounter something like that before? How should I fix

Thanks a lot for help,
