Do you have problems installing other software from source?

This is really an issue for the Grace forums.  But I would suggest one of the 
following:

1. Use a newer version; 4.1.2 is archaic (pre-2004
2. Use Fink/FinkCommander to install the latest version if installing from 
source is giving you issues.
