There is no "gmx" in any version prior to 5.0, each program is its own 
entity.

I strongly advise against installing such outdated software. We don't 
officially support anything in the 4.x series any more (and we're not 
inclined to provide help for outdated software, and tutorials are no 
longer available for it). Please take advantage of feature enhancements, 
bug fixes, and increased speed and work with the latest version, 2018.1.
