Which Irix version are you running? Sounds a bit like your installation
is broken. The binaries were compiled under irix6.5 on an octane.
You get the same error message when you've got an n32/o32 mismatch between
an executable and a shared library. But since the gmx binaries and lib were
built on the same machine, it must be an incompatability with your dynamic
loader.
