*Research topic title:*
Implementation of hybrid Monte Carlo in open-source molecular dynamics

*Research topic description:*
Implementation and testing of several Monte Carlo techniques combined with
classical molecular dynamics (MD) in the latest version of the open-source
software GROMACS.
The tasks to be performed by the intern involve:
 - modifying open-source software by migrating the currently available
algorithms from older versions of GROMACS to the latest version
 - setting up and running simulations of molecular systems using the
modified software with the purpose of testing the new implementation for
stability and performance benchmarking.

 - Required: C programming, Unix/Linux, parallel programming (MPI)
 - Additional: knowledge of atomistic molecular simulations, CUDA
programming
